About the role
The Patient Services Specialist performs a variety of tasks related to patient scheduling, pre-registration, and authorization/verification of benefits in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The role cultivates working relationships between therapists, practitioners, and patients.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for patient scheduling and pre-registration processes.
- Cultivates positive relationships with patients, families, staff, and visitors.
- Verifies patient benefits and authorizes treatments.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
Requirements
- 1 year experience with patient scheduling.
- 1 year billing or insurance company experience preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $17.97 - $26.92 per hour.
Schedule
Full time position with a day schedule.
