Job Summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is a physician-owned specialty practice focusing on neurosurgery and advanced spine care. With over 27 neurosurgeons and 3 physiatrists, the practice performs more than 8,000 surgeries annually and supports the Neurosurgery Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities

• Prepare front office for daily activities
• Warmly greet patients, guests, vendors, and visitors
• Ensure all patient paperwork, demographics, and insurance information are up to date and correct
• Collect co-pay if necessary and issue receipt
• Notify physician office and/or clinic staff of patient arrivals
• Maintain accurate and timely patient information in Athenaone and Phreesia databases
• Answer telephones and transfer callers to appropriate staff member
• Create an extraordinary patient experience

Requirements

• Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred but training provided

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer skills
