Patient Services Representative - West Manatee
About the role
As the first person who greets our patients, you will provide friendly, courteous, professional, and informative service to MCR Health’s patients seeking to schedule appointments, requiring referrals, or needing other information or services. You will create a caring and compassionate environment, ensuring an exceptional experience for everyone, every time.
The Patient Services Representative (PSR) plays a key role in a smooth front office operation, meeting Time of Service Collections goals, conducting pre-visit verification and confirmation, and handling end-of-day reconciliation. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) programs and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a smile and provide a welcoming first impression
- Check in patients for appointments and schedule follow-up appointments as needed
- Answer phone calls to schedule appointments and address patient questions about services and hours
- Call patients to schedule future and same-day appointments
- Participate in front office operations, including time-of-service collections and pre-visit verification
- Conduct end-of-day reconciliation
- Use EHR programs effectively to support responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- 6+ months of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
- Healthcare experience (preferred)
- Ability to multitask and remain focused in a busy environment
