Patient Services Representative

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all patient and family members in a positive and helpful manner.
  • Confirm superbill is complete and accurate.
  • Capture workers comp forms and ensure forms are completed and distributed to the necessary parties.
  • Schedule appropriate follow up appointments and complete appointment card in accordance with appointment scheduling policy.
  • Enter patient visit information into document management system.
  • Collect co-payments, past due balances, DME payments or set up payment plans at check out.
  • Daily entry of office visit charges and patient payments to include coding, verifying outstanding charges, filing superbills, balancing charges and payments.
  • Other office duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced team environment
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance a must
  • Insurance knowledge
  • Computer skills
  • High school diploma (Required)
