Job Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome all patient and family members in a positive and helpful manner.
- Confirm superbill is complete and accurate.
- Capture workers comp forms and ensure forms are completed and distributed to the necessary parties.
- Schedule appropriate follow up appointments and complete appointment card in accordance with appointment scheduling policy.
- Enter patient visit information into document management system.
- Collect co-payments, past due balances, DME payments or set up payment plans at check out.
- Daily entry of office visit charges and patient payments to include coding, verifying outstanding charges, filing superbills, balancing charges and payments.
- Other office duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced team environment
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Professional attitude and appearance a must
- Insurance knowledge
- Computer skills
- High school diploma (Required)
