Patient Services Representative- Pre-registration

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Patient Access Representative for Pre-registration. This position is Full-time day! The Patient Access Representative is the first line of quality service to our patients and our guests. This position serves as the ambassador of service, setting the standard. This position greets customers and subsequently provides the highest level of customer service possible. As a Patient Access Representative, you will: Ensure timely and accurate registrations Schedule patients for appointmentsComplete benefit verificationProvide patient education regarding benefits informationScan, Fax and work on appropriate authorizationsProvide referrals for services Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience working in patient access, preferably a fast-paced healthcare environmentHigh School Diploma (Equivalent) or HigherHold Insurance verification and healthcare scheduling experienceExperience working with managed care health plansBilingual English/Spanish PreferredExperience working with managed care health plansExcellent patient registration skillsExcellent customer service and telephone etiquette requiredSolid knowledge of medical terminologyProficient computer skills; internet, typing, data entry About Nashville General Hospital Nashville General Hospital (NGH) is Nashville’s original community-based hospital.
