Patient Services Representative - Cardiology

About the Role
The typical schedule for this position is Monday–Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No holidays or weekends.
BayCare Clinic is a successful, dynamic physician-owned group comprising 19 specialties, with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital offering a built-in referral base. Each specialty practice maintains clinical autonomy and financial stability.
Responsibilities
- Greets and checks in patients.
- Assists patients in filling out patient forms.
- Answers phones, takes messages, and routes calls when necessary.
- Develops patient charts.
- Enters pertinent information into patient charts.
- Schedules patient appointments.
- Collects co-payments from patients.
- Performs general office duties.
- Respects and maintains confidentiality.
- Works in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
- Post-high school coursework in Medical Terminology and/or Office Assistant is appropriate.
- Working knowledge of medical terms and health insurance.
- Strong desktop computer skills.
- Experience with EPIC is preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
