The Opportunity:

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for providing support services for the Patient Services unit of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The duties of this position includes but is not limited to providing support services in patient care areas such as Small, Ag, and Large Animal reception, cashier, and switchboard.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support services in patient care areas such as Small, Ag, and Large Animal reception, cashier, and switchboard.
  • Must be able to work alternate schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • One year cash handling experience also required.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of general office experience or one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Must be able to work alternate schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • One year cash handling experience also required.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a medical setting.
  • Experience answering a multi-line phone system.
  • Experience working reception in a medical or veterinary setting.

Pay

Monthly Salary: $3,485 to $4,633 | Range 38 (Steps A-M)

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University offers a comprehensive program that prepares students for careers in veterinary medicine. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides clinical training for veterinary students and serves as a referral center for veterinary patients.
