Qualifications
- Excellent customer/patient service
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand/Perform training on practice management software
- Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED
- Preferred Experience: At least one year of medical office experience
- 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed experience preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
- Bilingual a plus
- Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
- Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process

Responsibilities
- Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
- Assists in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
- Assists in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
- Assists with other duties as needed during down time
- All other duties as assigned
