Day shift, full-time Patient Services Representative (PSR) position in Tyler, TX. UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually, featuring a Level 1 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, a Level III NICU, and more than 500 physicians with subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

• Patient check‑in/out
• Appointment scheduling
• Scanning and filing documents
• Insurance verification
• Obtaining authorizations
• Collecting payments and charge posting
• Faxing medical records requests
• Scheduling patients for injections at the hospital
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience posting payments and charge entry
• Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system
• Database and word processing skills
• Patient record documentation skills
• Preferred: 2 years recent experience in a clinic or healthcare setting
