Patient Services Lead

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Patient Services Lead at Emory Hillandale Hospital, located at 2801 DeKalb Medical Parkway, Lithonia, GA 30058. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is full-time with varying days and hours, including weekends. Previous food services and lead experience is required. The pay range is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee systems and processes to ensure the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program are accomplished.
  • Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, and delivering/picking up their meal trays.
  • Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences, or additional selections requested.
  • Interact with nursing staff and evaluate daily on patient meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery, and tray retrieval processes.
  • Be responsive to patients' needs at all times, communicating problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Aid dietitians in monitoring patients who cannot eat food through their mouth, are on liquid diets, or have specific calorie counts to manage.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights policies as outlined in HIPAA.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO guidelines.
  • Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for meal assembly and distribution.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, as well as department sanitation procedures.
  • Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions.
  • Aptitude for effectively operating hospital's admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system, and other computer-based systems managing patient care records.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.
