PATIENT SERVICES LEAD (FULL TIME)
About the role
Morrison Healthcare is hiring Patient Services Lead positions. The role is located at Baptist Memphis, 6019 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38120. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is full time, 12-hour shifts with rotating 2-week schedules including alternating weekends. Previous food service or customer service experience is required, with previous healthcare and management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee systems and processes to ensure the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program are met.
- Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, and delivering/picking up their meal trays.
- Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences, or when a patient inquires about additional selections.
- Interact with nursing staff and evaluate daily on patient meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery, and tray retrieval processes.
- Be responsive to patients' needs at all times, communicating problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Assist dietitians, such as helping monitor patients who cannot eat food through their mouth, are on liquid diets, or have a specific calorie count to manage.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facility's HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
- Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for meal assembly and distribution.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, as well as department sanitation procedures.
- Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions.
- Aptitude for effectively operating hospital’s admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system, and other computer-based systems, which manage patient care records.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Pay
$17.00 per hour to $18.50 per hour.
Schedule
Full time schedule; 12 hour shifts. Days and hours may vary; rotating 2 week schedule. Alternating weekends included. More details upon interview.
