PATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR II

Job Duties

  • Captures and coordinates scheduling for clinics including template management.
  • Initiates template changes as needed to assist with clinic flow.
  • Works with clinical staff to ensure returning patients are scheduled appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff, registration, and triage staff, as well as outside facilities, to obtain medical record documents and coordinate after-care and follow-up as directed by providers.
  • Maintains stock of appropriate forms and information/handouts for patients and parents, as requested.
  • Orders necessary supplies and materials.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as typing correspondence, editing forms, and filing.
  • Maintains charts/records and ensures proper storage and scanning of materials generated in clinic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years office/clerical experience in customer service, call center, physician office, or other clinical environment required.
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills; excellent customer service and communication skills required.
  • Must attend all required course work assigned by management.
  • Possess basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.
  • Perform math & bookkeeping skills.
  • Exceptional telephone & customer service skills.
  • Knowledgeable of English grammar & punctuation.
  • Business Office Education or similar coursework preferred.
  • Currently certified as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred.

Qualifications
