Patient Services Coordinator

Position Summary

  • Performs appointment scheduling and registration for patients
  • Updates demographic information
  • Performs various patient care activities to assist physicians
  • Prepares the examination room for the patient
  • Takes patient vital signs
  • Records vitals in medical charts
  • Maintains patients’ medical charts
  • Receives co-payments for the visit
  • Phone triage
  • Pre-certification & authorization
  • Affixes support with weekly chart audits
  • Ensures each individual is meeting the mark on repat blood pressures, performing all BH screeners, and subsequent assessments
  • Prints off VIS sheets when vaccines are given
  • Supports OB/GYN team
  • Maintains supply par levels
  • Submits monthly supply order to Clinic Coordinator
  • Keeps track of Covid -19 supplies within the clinic

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keyboarding skills and aptitude for learning patient database program
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Committed to supporting UCH’s standard to medical excellence

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Required: Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment
  • Preferred: 1 to 2 years of related work experience
  • If not currently certified, must obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
