Patient Service Specialist - Part Time
About the role
This position assists with the daily activities of a clinical site and facilitates the flow of patients by providing clerical and clinical health care support to patients and family under the direction of a provider. The position requires mastery of basic clinical activities and some advanced clinical activities. The Patient Service Specialist is an integral part of the patient experience and a key contributor to delivering high quality customer service to our patients and visitors that is caring, consistent and reliable. The incumbent provides administrative support in the clinic setting to patients and families, members of the care team and administrative leaders to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Coursework in administrative or medical sciences preferred
- Proven customer service experience required
- Experience in a clinical and/or administrative setting preferred
Schedule
Part‑time position (approximately 30 hours/week) at Neurology, UVMMC Main Campus.
