About the role

The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and profitability of Solis Mammography. This position acts as the initial point of contact for patients, managing their registration, payment processes, and providing essential information.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients professionally and maintain a friendly demeanor
  • Register patients accurately by entering demographic and insurance information into the RIS system and verifying data
  • Explain and assist with the completion of patient forms, both paper and digital
  • Collect patient payments, including clarifying insurance benefits when necessary
  • Prepare and submit necessary paperwork for future appointments, including additional forms for specific exams or payors
  • Schedule and reschedule patients as needed
  • Generate daily invoice journals and reconcile payments using the Daily Reconciliation Report
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on front office policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of RIS software preferred)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but sometimes complex written or oral instructions
  • Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of RIS software preferred)

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Part-time, 20+ hours per week, working Wednesday 12-5:00 pm, Thursday 6:45 - 5:00, Friday 6:45 - 3:00
