About the role
The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience. They work closely with physicians and clinical staff to handle administrative tasks, including appointment check-ins, co-pay collection, message-taking, scheduling, and insurance verification.
Responsibilities
- Check in patients for appointments
- Collect patient co-pays
- Answer telephones and take accurate messages
- Schedule appointments
- Verify and update insurance eligibility
- Use EPIC to update required information
- Communicate with patients and families
- Provide superior customer service
- Utilize independent decision-making skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Healthcare experience preferred
- EHR experience a plus
- Medical terminology preferred
- Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred

Schedule
This Full-Time position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
