Patient Service Representative (FT) Night

About the role

Greet and register patients for evaluation and treatment. Verify medical insurance and collect payments due at the time of service. Maintain a clean and professional appearance while providing administrative support to the Nurse Manager, Facility Administrator, and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform front office registration duties: greeting patients, verifying benefits, obtaining HIPAA consent forms, updating patient demographics, and processing payments.
• Scan and enter patient information and medical reports into patient files using E-Power.
• Enter patient/service census and survey data.
• Provide medical records to other providers upon request with a signed patient release form.
• Log payments and cash receipts accurately.
• Maintain adequate supplies for patient use, such as water, coffee, condiments, and snacks.
• Ensure the work area and restrooms are clean and hazard-free.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee-related information.
• Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity.
• Answer telephones politely, communicate clearly, and transfer calls or information to appropriate staff as needed.
• Attend Patient Service Representative meetings as scheduled by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of clerical support experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CPR Certification preferred.
