Patient Service Representative ENT
About the role
The Patient Service Representative plays a significant part in creating a great experience for patients and their families at Saint Alphonsus Health System's Boise Ears, Nose, Throat Clinic. This Full-Time position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM supporting up to 4 ENT providers.
Responsibilities
- Check in patients for appointments
- Collect patient co-pays
- Answer telephones and take accurate messages
- Schedule appointments
- Check insurance eligibility
- Use EPIC to update required information
- Communicate with patients and families
- Provide superior customer service
- Utilize independent decision-making skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus
- Medical terminology preferred
- Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred
