Patient Service Representative
Baystate Dental is looking for a Patient Service Representative in Westfield, Massachusetts, to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. About the role
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and a desire to start in the dental field. The Patient Service Representative will support staff and patients by handling inquiries, scheduling, and assisting with treatment plans and financial arrangements. Flexibility in managing requests and projects assigned by staff or the Office Manager is essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients upon arrival and dismissal
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to office policies
- Answer telephones and manage patient inquiries
- Schedule, maintain, and confirm patient appointments
- Follow up on no-shows and cancellations
- Register patients on the sign-in sheet
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts
- Check voicemail daily
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area
Requirements
- Experience working in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
- Experience answering telephones
- Exceptional customer service skills
Pay
$23–$25 per hour
Schedule
Full time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
