About the role
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and an interest in starting a career in the dental field. As a support person for both staff and patients, you will handle phone calls, patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and assist with completing treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements. Flexibility in managing requests and projects assigned by staff or the Office Manager is essential.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge patients upon arrival and dismissal with a smile
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to office policies
- Answer telephones and manage patient inquiries
- Schedule, maintain, and confirm appointments
- Follow up on no-shows and cancellations
- Register patients on the sign-in sheet
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts
- Check voicemail daily
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area
Requirements
- Experience working in a dental office (preferred)
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
- Experience answering telephones
- Exceptional customer service skills
Schedule
Full-time: Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM–5:00 PM, with some Fridays 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.
