Patient Service Representative

About the role

This position is perfect for someone with a passion for providing outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and a desire to get started in the dental field. The Patient Service Representative will support all staff members and patients in the office by handling inquiries, scheduling, and financial arrangements in a warm, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients upon arrival and dismissal with a smile
• Respond to patient questions and concerns according to company policies
• Answer telephones and manage voicemail on a daily basis
• Schedule, confirm, and follow up on appointments, including handling no-shows and cancellations
• Maintain the appointment book and register patients on sign-in sheets
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts
• Assist with completing patient treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements
• Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients
• Handle requests and projects assigned by staff or the Office Manager

Requirements

• Experience working in a dental office (required)
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
• Experience answering telephones
• Exceptional customer service skills

Pay

$22.00–$25.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
