Patient Service Rep - Pearlridge, Administration

Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. About the role

As a Patient Service Representative at Straub Pearlridge, you will help ensure patients and their families receive warm, friendly, and considerate assistance. You will act as a liaison between patients and professional staff by facilitating clerical and reception responsibilities and assisting in a variety of administrative tasks. This location offers diagnosis and treatment for all ages, well-child check-ups, adult physicals, obstetric/gynecology, family planning, treadmill testing, dietary counseling, X-ray imaging, physical therapy, pharmacy, on-site lab testing, optical services, and specialty care in cardiology, dermatology, general surgery, neurology, sleep disorders, ophthalmology, rheumatology, sports medicine, and vascular surgery.

Responsibilities

• Interview, register, admit, update, and create patients’ medical records.
• Perform accurate and timely processing of all professional/technical fees generated by department providers.
• Handle cash collection and processing.
• Provide clerical and reception support to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of clerical support in a health care setting or related experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology.
• Experience with EPIC.

• Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.

Pay

Pay range: $24.83 - $26.14 USD per hour. Rate of pay is determined by knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience, training, and internal peer equity.

Schedule

Full-time, regular position. Day shift, 8 hours per day.
