Full-time position, primarily Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

About the Role

The Patient Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling surgical or diagnostic procedures and may also schedule pre-anesthesia, oncology/infusion, or other appointments. Responsibilities may include a variety of clerical duties such as input of daily charges, patient forms, and statistics necessary for reporting. Excellent communication skills are required for this position as the Scheduling Coordinator plays an integral role in assisting the care team in meeting patient care needs and acts as a liaison between physician's offices, ancillary departments, and the surgical or primary department staff.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule surgical or diagnostic procedures.
  • Schedule pre-anesthesia, oncology/infusion, or other appointments.
  • Perform clerical duties including input of daily charges, patient forms, and statistics for reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between physician's offices, ancillary departments, and surgical or primary department staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position.
  • Minimum 2 years of clerical experience in a fast-paced, medical or professional environment.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business administration or related field, preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment, preferred.

Pay

Starting wage: $21.86-$30.07 per hour, depending on experience.
