About the role
This position supports the Patient Safety and Organizational Throughput initiatives within Henry Ford Health. The Patient Safety Assistant will play a key role in enhancing patient safety protocols and improving operational efficiency.Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of patient safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement in patient throughput.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to patient safety and throughput improvements.
- Provide training and education to staff on patient safety and throughput best practices.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to patient safety and throughput.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in patient safety or healthcare operations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare information systems and databases.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to patient safety and quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
