Clinical Tech - Emergency Care - Part Time - Afternoons - Jackson, MI

What You’ll Do

• Collecting and recording essential patient data – vitals, food and fluid intake/output, and more – with precision and care.
• Responding to patient needs and partnering with RNs to ensure maximum comfort and safety.
• Noticing the little changes that can make a big difference – and reporting them promptly.
• Supporting mobility by helping patients ambulate and getting where they need to go.
• Aiding with oxygen devices under RN direction and applying slings post-pacemaker procedures.
• Performing clinical tasks such as Foley catheter insertion, bladder scans, enemas, blood glucose checks, and documenting results.
• Providing help with daily activities, like dressing, meals, and hygiene.
• Supporting RNs during equipment use and bedside procedures.
• Promoting positive experiences for patients and their families through kind, respectful interaction.
• Performing phlebotomy and IV access procedures with confidence and care.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following:
• Current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters or has graduated from a Registered Nurse program
• Graduate of an LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program
• Certified in Phlebotomy
• Previous Clinical Tech experience
• Also Required: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to tailor care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, and experience in an acute care setting (preferred, not required).
• Certifications/Licenses Required: Valid BLS certification (or must be obtained during Patient Care Orientation).
