Clinical Care Technician - Emergency Department - Part Time Evening

Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care.
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track patient health status.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to facility policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and address concerns.
  • Support emergency response efforts by applying Basic Life Support (BLS) skills such as CPR when needed in acute situations.
  • Provide patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients.
  • Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient’s care.
  • Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma / GED.
  • A current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program is preferred or a CNA certificate.
