Patient Representative - Shirley

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with daily reception activities and ensures all processes needed for patient services are initiated.
• Communicates effectively with team members and patients regarding all aspects of service.
• Handles telephone and mail contacts with patients.
• Schedules appointments, collects fees, explains services and charges for patient services.
• Distributes materials to patients, including patient satisfaction cards, patient rights information, and other relevant materials.
• Verifies patient insurance and sets fees based on the sliding scale fee schedule.

Minimum Education Requirement

A high school diploma/GED.

Minimum Work-Related Experience

2-4 years of related experience.

Preferred Specialized Skills & Knowledge

Bilingual in both English and Spanish (oral and written).
