Responsibilities
- Timely registration and scheduling of patients for in-patient and out-patient services
- Ensure patient safety by identifying the correct patient, special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for patients with infectious disease indicators
- Provide assistance and services to patients, families, staff, and external agencies in the accurate completion of patient registration, admission, and scheduling
- Investigate and resolve customer requests, questions, or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures
- Contact outside representatives to request information or assistance in resolving problems
- Maintain confidentiality, protect, and safeguard patient/family personal medical and financial information at all times; access only information necessary to perform job responsibilities
- Complete and authenticate all documents and questionnaires to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, CMS, ODH)
- Support the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory teams by ensuring necessary data, information, and forms are obtained and accurately entered into the appropriate system
- Communicate with management to explain system errors or recommend changes to the system
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service or healthcare registration experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods
Schedule
This is a float position at the Crestview Hills location. Hours range Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts.
Pay
Starting pay range: $17.49 – $20.99 per hour, based on experience, skills, and equity. Exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on-call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.
