Acts as an administrative liaison to patients, family members, physicians, coworkers, and departments, assisting patients in understanding hospital services and resolving their concerns. Receives and investigates patient complaints to ensure timely and positive resolutions, while promoting patient rights and services in line with regulatory standards and Mercy's mission.
Responsibilities

- Promote patient rights and services in accordance with regulatory standards and Mercy’s mission.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and hospital staff.
- Analyze data and provide detailed reports to hospital committees.
- Identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Implement and champion new processes related to patient relations.
- Work with hospital leadership to develop and monitor patient relations initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up of patient complaints.
- Assess and address patient problems effectively.
- Use MS Office products for documentation and reporting.
- Use hospital systems for data collection and analysis.
Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service or patient relations.
Qualifications
- Degree in a healthcare-related field (preferred).
- Understanding of hospital services, patient care, and regulatory standards.
- Analytical skills to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Ability to follow through on tasks and motivate others.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks without constant supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and hospital systems for data collection and analysis.
Schedule
Part-time, 24 hours per week.
