Patient Registration Specialist PT Boise/Eagle

About the role

At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we are seeking a Patient Registration Specialist who is passionate about providing exceptional service and challenging themselves professionally. This role supports inpatient and outpatient registration, insurance verifications, financial payments collection, and medical necessity coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused customer service
• Support inpatient/outpatient registration and insurance verifications
• Collect financial payments and coordinate medical necessity for Medicare, pre-certifications, and referrals
• Offer general information and guidance to patients and guests

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification within one year of hire

Skills

Knowledge of multiple system applications, analytical skills, attention to detail, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Pay

Competitive compensation is offered based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Flexible scheduling is preferred, with shifts typically working at least 24 hours per week and supporting all areas of Boise patient registration including the Emergency Department, Day Surgery, Imaging, Lab, Front Desk, Main, and Eagle ED. Shifts are available on weekdays, weekends, days, and nights.
