Patient Registration Coordinator

About the Role

For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers specializing in safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD"). Operating in over 70 treatment centers across multiple states, our team members engage in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management to treat the whole person and address the underlying causes of OUD.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the pre-registration process for all new clients and schedule appointments, including orientation of new patients and monitoring patient activities on center premises.
  • Provide customer service as a point of contact for patient inquiries.
  • Collect co-payments and patient financial responsibility at the time of service.
  • Ensure all necessary demographics, billing, and clinical information is entered accurately and timely into the registration system.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Program Director, physicians, and nursing staff regarding intakes.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization as necessary.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing mail, maintaining supply inventory, ordering supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard business operations.
  • Keep open lines of communication with the Clinic Operations Team to meet individualized goals.
  • Adhere to the service policy and principles of CMG/New Seasons.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1-year receptionist and cashier or related experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year healthcare experience.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records systems and medical insurance.
  • Ability to read, write legibly, and comprehend written and spoken words.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to present information effectively to management, public groups, and customers.
  • Insurance verification experience is required.

  • Vision: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary for observing patients and working on computers; clear vision at 20 inches or less and distant vision at 20 feet or more.
  • Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

Work Environment

  • Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
