Patient Registration Coordinator
For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers that specialize in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD"). Operating in over 70 treatment centers in multiple states, our team members are engaged in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management of individuals living with OUD. We treat the whole person and, in doing so, address the underlying causes of OUD in an effort to provide a continuum of care that not only addresses treatment needs but supports the patient on their journey to recovery.
About the role
This position is responsible for performing clerical and administrative services in greeting, registering, and admitting patients in a healthcare facility. Also responsible for identifying the best methods to schedule patient appointments accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Complete the pre-registration process for all new clients and schedule appointments accordingly, including orientation of new patients, monitoring all patient activities on center premises, and providing customer service as a point of contact for patient inquiries.
- Collect co-payments and patient financial responsibility at the time of service.
- Ensure all necessary demographics, billing, and clinical information obtained has been entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
- Maintain strong communication with Program Director, physicians, and other nursing staff regarding intakes.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization as necessary.
- Complete administrative tasks including answering phones, checking and delivering mail, maintaining supply inventory, anticipating supply needs, ordering supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard the operations of the business.
- Keep lines of communication open with the Clinic Operations Team to ensure individualized goals are met.
- Adhere to the service policy and principle of CMG/New Seasons.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1-year receptionist and cashier or other related experience.
- Minimum of 1-year healthcare experience.
- Strong customer service background.
- Knowledge of electronic health records systems and medical insurance.
- Ability to read, write legibly, and comprehend written and spoken words.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to effectively learn new software programs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and customers.
- Insurance verification experience is a must.

Physical Demands
- Finger Dexterity: Use primarily for writing, operating calculator, telephone, keyboard, and other office equipment.
