Patient Recruiter Associate
About the role
Design Science is a human factors research firm dedicated to testing medical devices for usability and safety before they go to market. We're seeking a Strategic Partnership Associate (SPA) to recruit paid participants for user-centered research studies in Philadelphia, Chicagoland, and across the U.S. This position plays a key role in bringing innovative medical devices to market with an impact on improving patient lives around the world.
Responsibilities
- Recruit patients, caregivers, and medical professionals for paid study sessions for our labs in Philly, Evanston, and around the U.S.
- Manage participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, scheduling, and follow-up communications
- Build partnerships with healthcare organizations and advocacy groups
- Develop and execute creative recruitment strategies
- Care for participant logistics and maintain databases (Salesforce)
- Attend outreach events and occasionally support front desk operations
Requirements
- 1–2 years in customer service, hospitality, call center or medical field
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to cold call, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree is beneficial
Qualifications
This position requires you to be in on site 2 days a week in our center city Philadelphia location and remote the rest of the week.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $58,000-61,000 per year plus benefits.
Schedule
This position requires you to be in on site 2 days a week in our center city Philadelphia location and remote the rest of the week.
