Job Summary

As a Patient Navigator at DMOS, you will work in the office to guide patients through their orthopaedic journey by scheduling follow-up appointments, assisting with surgery scheduling, and submitting prior authorizations for procedures. This is a full-time, clinic hour position where you will work alongside a team of patient care navigators and clinical staff members to create an outstanding patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with surgery scheduling
  • Submit prior authorizations for procedures
  • Utilize Office 365 products to organize physician surgery schedules, insurance prior authorizations, and communicate with hospital and ambulatory surgery center staff
  • Guide patients through their orthopaedic journey by providing support and assistance
  • Work alongside a team of patient care navigators and clinical staff members to ensure an outstanding patient experience

Requirements

  • Quickly recall information and prioritize tasks
  • Calm and professional demeanor when interacting with patients and clinical staff members
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized while working from a desk for extended periods
  • Experience in patient care coordination
  • Dependable and ensures patients receive timely care
