Patient Financial Representative

Responsibilities

• Performs patient accounting functions including billing, collections, customer service, and cash applications.
• Documents patient account activity and responds to customer billing inquiries.
• Posts payments and implements billing guideline changes.
• Identifies trends at a payer specific level and applies federal and state guidelines to collection efforts.
• Investigates and follows up on Explanation of Benefits.
• Inventories supplies, reports and tracks equipment maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No certifications or licensure required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of patient accounts experience or two years of experience in a related field is required.
