Patient Experience & Care Coordination

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting daily department operations.
  • Cook up patient appointments and scheduling activities.
  • Collaborate with referring providers, physician offices, and internal clinical teams.
  • Obtain required authorizations and documentation to support patient scheduling and care coordination.
  • Aid patients and families throughout the scheduling and registration process.
  • Support a positive, patient-centered experience from initial contact through completion of the visit.

Administrative Support

  • Answer and triage incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Record, route, and respond to messages appropriately.
  • Escalate urgent situations and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Process patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the department.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives focused on process improvement and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous customer service, healthcare support, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and compassion when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new healthcare systems and applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Experience in a healthcare, hospital, physician practice, or academic medical center environment. Experience with patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, or referrals. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a high level of customer service.
