Job Summary

The Patient Enrollment Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients seeking dermatological care through Zest. You'll be the first voice many members hear when they learn about Zest. This role is a blend of educator, listener, and guide — reaching out to eligible members referred by our partners, explaining Zest’s program, and helping them take the first step toward care. You’ll use empathy, curiosity, and strong communication skills to build rapport quickly over the phone, answer questions, and convert interested members into scheduled new-patient visits. You’ll follow established workflows and enrollment protocols to ensure consistency and quality, while exercising sound judgment and adaptability to meet each member where they are. The ideal candidate is both process-driven and people-smart — able to balance structure with flexibility to achieve the best outcomes. Success in this role means members feel heard, cared for, and excited to begin their journey with Zest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact eligible members via phone, text, and email to introduce Zest and explain program benefits.
  • Build rapport quickly and use motivational interviewing techniques to encourage enrollment.
  • Manage a daily outreach list and maintain an organized follow-up cadence to maximize conversions.
  • Document all interactions in the EMR/CRM accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard member information at all times.
  • Effectively communicate partnership benefits to potential patients who are interested in joining Zest.
  • Collaborate with Dermatology Provider Team to ensure they have necessary patient information prior to virtual appointments.
  • Facilitate communication between members and the care team per Zest protocols.
  • Assist patients with virtual platform navigation and troubleshoot any technical issues related to virtual appointments.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to provide feedback on how Zest's technology can improve.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a patient-facing or outreach role (e.g., healthcare enrollment, patient access, social work, or customer engagement).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an empathetic and confident phone presence.
  • Familiarity with virtual care delivery platforms and start-up experience preferred.
  • Organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing call queues, CRM/EMR systems, and multi-channel outreach.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices.
  • Self-motivated and reliable — able to manage a part-time remote schedule with consistency.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Must be based in the United States.
