We are currently hiring for a Patient Coordinator at our mobile unit in Wenatchee, WA. This will be a PRN position.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
  • Perform patient registration in various systems.
  • Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
  • May be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and obtaining prior authorization.
  • Perform preliminary screening of patients prior to procedures, which may include medical history.
  • Transport patient to/from the exam room.
  • Assist in patient transfer on/off the exam table.
  • Provide the patient with preliminary and post-procedure instructions.
  • In the mobile setting, assist in preparing the unit for transport.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Order supplies and ensure the work area is properly stocked.
  • Ensure accuracy of patient records.
  • Schedule patient appointments and obtain insurance verification and/or authorization.
  • Prepare medical records for physicians, patients and customers.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient visits in various electronic systems and on written documents.
  • Assist the clinical staff with documentation and image delivery to the patient, physician, or contracted customer.
  • Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • For Mobile Radiology and Oncology, CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
  • For Fixed Radiology, CPR Certification is a plus.
  • As applicable, valid state driver’s license required.
  • Ability to work at several locations required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
  • Local travel may be required to support multiple sites.
  • The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
  • All candidates who accept an offer for employment will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months customer service or related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Pay

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in Washington is $18–$22. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
