About the Role
MedStar Radiology Network at Southern Maryland is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join the front desk with an energetic, patient-focused team. This is a PRN (part-time) Patient Coordinator I position at our outpatient imaging center located in Clinton, MD.

The Business Office Team collaborates and leads the Imaging Center team in providing excellent patient care and supporting operational goals, including all customer and patient-facing responsibilities such as welcoming, registering, and coordinating patients, as well as phone correspondence, scheduling appointments, inventory, and medical record management.
This role offers a clear career ladder with growth and promotional opportunities: Patient Coordinator I → Patient Coordinator II → Business Office Supervisor → Business Office Manager. Upper levels include training, supervision, and management of Business Office team members.
Responsibilities
- Welcome, register, and coordinate patients in a customer-friendly outpatient imaging center.
- Handle phone correspondence and schedule appointments.
- Manage inventory and medical records.
- Provide accurate and concise documentation.
- Collaborate with the Imaging Center team to support operational goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Office.
