About the role
The Patient & Community Clinical Educator – (PaCE) plays a crucial role in enhancing the understanding of therapeutic areas (TA) among various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients, and community organizations.
Responsibilities
- Increases disease state and product knowledge to a variety of TA marketplace stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, advanced practice clinicians, and community organizations.
- Supports the education of complex treatment options and potential adverse events for healthcare stakeholders.
- Engages with stakeholders before, during, and after product launches, participating in customer interactions.
- Develops and designs tools and resources to improve clinical management of TA patients.
- Serves as an educational resource for multidisciplinary support staff, optimizing holistic patient support in academic and community settings.
- Provides education on safe and responsible medication usage and ongoing support for patient engagement and therapy.
- Offers educational support tailored to patients' unique needs and experiences.
- Assists in identifying and developing educational resources on TA disease states and BI products.
- Conducts and facilitates educational programming, including slide kits, workbooks, and electronic media.
- Supports BI TA training leads, marketing partners, and leadership in designing, developing, and delivering appropriate product and marketplace training.
- Assists in the identification, design, development, and delivery of TA clinical educational programming.
- Provides key insights and leadership in the development and facilitation of educational resources on TA disease states and BI products.
- Operates within a matrixed setting and rapidly changing environment, demonstrating strong business acumen, analytical skills, learning adaptability, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing or a related health care discipline, with a graduate degree such as NP or PA preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) or more years of successful combined clinical experience and/or pharmaceutical sales, clinical, or community educator experience, or medical affairs experience (primary care, specialty care, institutional).
- Experience in TA, high-touch/complicated, and rare/orphan disease states preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in therapeutic area(s) is preferred.
- Excellent communications, objective setting, and influencing skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other relevant applications.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Willingness to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
