Patient Care Technician - Physical Therapy

Location: Manhattan, KS | Full-Time

About the Role

The Physical Therapy Technician assists licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants with patient care, clinic operations, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient experiences in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions under their direction.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient use.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities.
• Clean and sanitize treatment rooms, equipment, and common areas.
• Monitor patient comfort and report concerns to the therapy team.
• Maintain adequate supplies and organize equipment.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and patient check-in/check-out as needed.
• Complete documentation and administrative tasks accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist patients throughout the workday.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a physical therapy, healthcare, fitness, athletic training, or customer service setting.
• Interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy, healthcare, kinesiology, exercise science, or a related field.
