Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Per Diem

About the Role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world‑class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) you play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care throughout each patient’s vulnerable and painful moments.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field (e.g., medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Schedule

PRN/Per Diem – Days & Nights available, 12‑hour shifts.
