Team Overview
Lovelace Women’s Hospital has 173 licensed beds, including a 53‑bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award‑winning breast care center, and the first robotic surgery program in the state, recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
- Observe patients’ progress and prepare/disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Preferred: Experience in phlebotomy or completion of a phlebotomy course.
- Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in acute or long‑term care.
- Preferred: Working towards approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT‑P) certification.
