Patient Care Technician (PCT) – Full-time Days

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers, assisting transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay

• $17.50 - $21.33 per hour + shift differential for nights & weekends

• Full-time, day shift, 12-hour shifts
