Banner Rehabilitation Hospital - Tucson, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT).

About the role

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care, assistance, and documentation of care provided.

Responsibilities

  • Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing, and oral feeding.
  • Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in patient turning/repositioning and performs purposeful hourly rounds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant, or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
  • Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment required.

Pay

$19.32 - $24.50 per hour, based on years of experience.

Schedule

Full-time, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
