About the role
Select Specialty Hospital - Tucson East is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Perform bathing using basin-less bath products
- Provide oral hygiene and oral feeding
- Care for patients' hair
- Transport patients to and from various treatment centers
- Assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
- Maintain cleanliness of various instruments and equipment
- Keep patient rooms clean and orderly
- Manage unit stock levels of supplies and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field
