About the role
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) at PAM Health is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodating services under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position.
- Does not administer medications or therapy.
- Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care.
- Job duties are consistent with PAM Health's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate patient needs.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift and move patients as needed.
- Must be able to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
