Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Take patient history, obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, complete lab paperwork, conduct point-of-care testing, schedule ancillary care, assist providers with exams, and document patient information.
  • Reception: Greet patients, complete registration, explain insurance options, answer phone calls, collect patient responsibility, print, scan, and fax reports, and maintain clinic cleanliness.
  • Occupational Medicine: Ensure accurate completion of occupational medicine documentation, conduct various tests, and maintain compliance with company protocols and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role, or equivalent education/certification in a related healthcare specialty.
  • Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
  • Ability to identify equipment problems and notify team leaders.
  • Computer skills, including registering patients on the EMR system.
  • CPR certification.
  • Educational background: High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred certifications: EMT Basic, Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
