Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Tech (PCT) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Duties include:

• Performing patient care activities within the limits of the position
• Not administering medications or therapy
• Not assuming independent responsibility for patient care
• Accomplishing duties in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health
• Performing other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state (preferred)
• May be a Patient Care Tech working in the state of Texas
• Current BLS certification is required

Qualifications

Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
