Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Highpoint Health - Trousdale with Ascension Saint Thomas, formerly Trousdale Medical Center, is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering an extensive range of in-patient, outpatient and emergency services for adults and children. Critical access hospital simply means that the hospital is critical in providing healthcare to our community.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with performing activities of daily living
• Providing or assisting with providing direct patient care
• Observing and recording patient behavior and activities
• Reporting any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggesting modifications to treatment plans
• Assisting with POC testing and EKGs as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• State of TN CNA license preferred, can be considered without high school diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
• 1 year certified nurse tech or EMT experience preferred
